29 Weeks

We spent this morning at the hospital for another sonogram. We are so in love with our big boy and can't wait to meet him in about 10 weeks!

We hoped to get another picture of his feet and compare them to his last sonogram pictures but he decided he wanted to play with his feet and wouldn't give us a clear shot! Here are a few facial pictures...

It was so sweet to watch him blink his eyes, see his heartbeat, and watch his little lungs practice breathing. It's amazing to see how much he's changed since our last sonogram!

He currently weighs 3lbs 13oz and according to the doctor is on the BIG side! We have another sonogram scheduled for 35 weeks to evaluate his weight and make sure he's not too big.

Hippity Hoppity...

I couldn't resist sharing some cute Easter crafts I stumbled upon this morning. I can't wait to get home and start transforming our house for Easter. Next year we'll get a visit from the Easter Bunny, but for now the hubby and I will just have to enjoy a few decorations until little man arrives!

I am in LOVE with this cute garland from Honey & Fitz. This is definitely on my to-do list for tonight!

Desiree from The 36th Avenue featured her Spring Bunny Tutorial on Tatertots & Jello. Two words...too cute!

Hoppy Thursday, everyone!

{Pinspiration} Spring

Happy first day of Spring! I love everything about this time of year, but especially the weather and the colors! Texas endured some pretty intense April showers last night (a little early), but I'm happy to report that the sun is now shining and it officially looks & feels like Spring! To celebrate, here's a little Spring inspiration I found on Pinterest...

Sunday Funday

It's a beautiful day here in Texas complete with sunshine and a cool breeze! Mom and dad drove out to our faimily's farm in East Texas which means Annie came over for a play date! While Vince spent most of the day working and playing flag football, the girls and I had the house to ourselves all day. They chose to catch up on sleep and I took advantage of the time to work on Brock's room. We have two showers coming up in April, so I've been wanting to get everything we already have in order to avoid last minute mass chaos!

I'm pretty happy with how it's starting to come together. The good thing about having a boy is that we now have a place for all of our extra SMU and Dallas Cowboys memorabilia that doesn't fit in the man cave. We decided to keep the furniture and walls a neutral color so that we could accessorize with navy blue and red.

I started today by making a banner to hang over Brock's crib. I plan on posting a short tutorial tomorrow, so be sure to come back and check it out! I used mostly scraps, so this fun little accessory cost less than $3!

I also hung Brock's mobile over his crib. The Dallas Cowboys mobile was a hand-me-down from my boss, Traci. It's never to early for Brock to learn about his soon-to-be favorite NFL team!

The last project was to create a little reading nook for Brock. I can't wait for little man to arrive and I hope we'll be spending a lot of time in this area. The rocking chair has been passed down from my great great grandmother. You can read about it's recent makeover here!

I finished everything just in time to get ready for evening Mass. I hope everyone has a wonderful, relaxing Sunday!

{Pottery Barn Inspired} Personalized Pennant

Woohoo! I finished another decor item for Brock's room and can cross a DIY project off the list! As I mentioned earlier this week, I've wanted one of these personalized pennants from Pottery Barn Kids for Brock's room ever since I first saw them.

However, at $52 each they were not at the top of my priority list and didn't make it on to the registry. So, I decided to make my own!

Start by gathering your supplies...you'll need felt {in the colors of your choice}, Steam-A-Seam double stick fusible web, & felt letters or a stencil {I printed letters using a font from my computer & cut around them to make a stencil}.

{Step 1} Cut your pennant from a 12" x 18" piece of felt.
{Step 2} Using your stencil, cut your letters from a contrasting color of felt. Also cut any embellishments {i.e. stars} and about a 1/2" strip to go along the side of the pennant.
{Step 3} Using Steam-A-Seam, bond letters, embellishments, & strip to pennant.
{Step 4} Enjoy!

I can't wait to add Brock's pennant to his nursery. A few more projects to finish and his room will be complete! I've linked up to the following link parties. Click the links below for more project inspiration!

Sorry for the lack of pictures, I completed this project while making dinner, doing the dishes and catching up on a few TV shows that have been sitting on the DVR...multitasking at its finest!

Puppy Love

My sweet hubby hates it when I post mushy photos of  him with our fur baby, but I just couldn't resist this time! At least I didn't post it on Facebook for all his buddies to see, right? Anyways, the picture below captures one of Vince & Tasha's daily love sessions. My mom always says, "The bigger they are, the harder they fall" and that is certainly the case when it comes to Vince and his Tasha girl. She has him wrapped around that little paw!

I'm heading to JoAnn's after work to get my supplies for this week's DIY projects. Hoping to have one completed tonight and posted tomorrow...stay tuned!

{DIY}

It's been over a week since my last post...where did the time go? After a busy week at work and another successful week in AdvoCare, my free time was spent catching up on some much needed rest. I'm hoping this week to get a few things done around the house and complete some DIY projects!

Here's a list my DIY goals for this week. I'll be gathering my coupons and heading to JoAnn's tomorrow to purchase my supplies!

When registering for Brock's bedding at Potter Barn Kids, I fell in love with these cute pennants. Instead of adding them to our registry I figured I could make one myself for much cheaper than the $52 price tag. It will be a perfect compliment to the SMU & Dallas Cowboys memorabilia we already have!

Next on the list is a patriotic wreath for our front door. With Memorial Day and the 4th of July coming up I better get a head start! I'm loving these ideas that I spotted on Pinterest...

If time permits, I'd love to make some additional nursery decor for Brock's room!

Do you have any DIY projects in the works?

{Pinspiration} TEXAS

Happy TEXAS INDEPENDENCE DAY, y'all! Vince and I are native Texans and we LOVE our state! Here's a little Texas love from Pinterest...

For all of the non-Texans out there, here's a little picture of our cuddle bug this morning...she did not want to get out of bed!

God Bless Texas! TGIF, y'all!

{Disneyland} Dumbo the Flying Elephant

The first ride we took in Disneyland was on Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Although it's known as a kid's ride, you can't visit any Disney park without at least one ride on these cute little guys! I was happy that Vincent agreed and we jumped in line amidst a sea of toddlers and their parents. The short flight was the perfect way to start our magical adventure!
