April is one of my favorite months, and this April is off to a great start! Celebrating Easter, my sweet mom's birthday, and the day Vincent proposed fill our April showers with a bit of sunshine. We spent yesterday at Lone Star Park reliving our proposal that took place 3 years ago! It was a day filled with food, fun, and pretty horses! Here's a recap of the actual proposal that took place April 18, 2009.
Horses have always been my favorite animals. My dad and uncle started racing quarter horses when I was in high school and going to the track to watch live racing is one of my favorite pastimes. Fortunately, Vince loves it too (especially betting on long shots) and decided our local racetrack, Lone Star Park, was the perfect place to propose nearly 5 years after we met.

It was a magical day and we love celebrating it every year at the track. It's a rainy weekend here in Texas, but we hope your weekend is sunny and bright.
